Cattleya aclandiae is a miniature that produces 1 -2 very fragrant, 3-3.5", long lasting flowers. The plants like bright light and temperatures between about 65 and 85 degrees night to day. Ours are currently in pots, but they can be grown very well mounted on pieces of cork or other suitable material (avoid marine driftwood!). If they are grown on in pots, use a coarse medium as the plants do not like constantly wet roots. Water and feed regularly; use a liquid or water soluble plant food once a month.
