Dendrobium (Ionobulbon) munificum
species - New Caledonia.
Although the plants may have a branching spike up to 18" in length, holding many, 1.25" flowers and though it often blooms twice a year (Spring and Fall) when mature, it's most memorable feature is the "basket' the mature plant grows to envelope each pseudobulb. Now classified as Dendrobiums, the plants like bright indirect light with temperatures around 60-65 at night to 80-85 during the day. Water and feed regularly using a liquid or water soluble fertilizer once a month (see our offerings in the "Supplies" section of the website). Allow the planting medium to dry a bit between waterings.
