Catasetum (expansum X Melana Davison 'Bombshell')
Pictures to the right show Ctsm. Melana Davison 'Bombshell' above 2 typical clones of Ctsm. expansum. Results will vary, but similar crosses have produced amazing results.
Expect fragrant flowers about 3" in size, several to a stem when mature,
The plants like bright indirect light and temperatures from about 65+ to 85+ degrees night to day. Water and feed regularly using a liquid or water soluble fertilizer twice a month until late in the year (October-November) when leaves begin to yellow and fall. This is normal, the plants are beginning to rest. Reduce the water to just enough to keep bulbs from shriveling and eliminate fertilizer until new growth begins at which time both should be resumed.
LIMITED!! NEAR FLOWERING SIZE, BUT NOT CURRENTLY IN SPIKE OR BUD!!
NOTE: The flower to the far right below represents a possible outcome of the cross offered. It is Ctsm. [Melana Davison 'Bombshell' X (denticulatum X Penang]
