Epidendrum macrocarpum

One of the often called reedstem Epidendrums, Epi. macrocarpum can stand up to 4' tall bearing several successively opening, longlasting 1.5" flowers on an upright, terminal inflorescence. The plants like bright light and temperatures from about 65-85 degrees night to day although they will do well with lower seasonal variations. They are listed as terrestrials but will grow well in bark or mixed media. They are Fall-Winter bloomers. These are seedlings that stand 12-14" tall. From seed.
