Rhyncholaeliocattleya Mark's Valentine 3" FS
Rlc. Mark's Valentine
(Rlc. Little Toshie X C. Circle of Life)
The first flower to bloom for us is shown to the right above. It was one of two and measured 3.5" in size. These are seedling, however, and colors will range from red to red orange and salmon up to 4" in size, many with very full form. These will be compact "Mini-Catts" at maturity bearing 2-3 flowers per stem. So far, they seem to be Winter flowering, but may flower at other times as well.
Grow these with bright indirect light. Because of the heavy influence of "Cattleya" coccinea the plants can be grown a little cooler than most Cattleya-types, i.e. 55 to 80 degrees night to day. Water and fertilize regularly paying attention to seasonal variations (e.g. less frequently during darker cooler months). Use a liquid or water soluble fertilizer once a month.
LIMITED! SMALL PLANTS, BUT FLOWERING SIZE. NOT NECESSARILYIN BUD OR FLOWER!!!
