Catyclia El Hatillo
(C. mossiae X Enc. tampensis)
This plant was once more commonly know as Epicattleya El Hatillo. It is a compact plant with relatively large (around 2.5") flowers that likes bright indirect light. It will grow well potted or mounted on a suitable piece of cork, fern or wood. They are Summer bloomers and, when mature, can put up 5 or more flowers on upright stems. Allow the plant to dry a bit between waterings and add a liquid or water soluble fertilizer to the water twice a month. Otherwise temperatures from 60-65 degrees at night to 80-85 degrees day will complete the regimen for El Hatillo.
