Rhyncattlianthe Fuchs Orange Nuggett X Guaricyclia Kyoguchi) 3"
(Rth. Fuchs Orange Nuggett X Gcy. Kyoguchi)
First, let's try to straighten out the name 'Guaricyclia". When names were simpler, this was an Epicattleya (Cattleya aurantiaca X Encyclia aromatica), but then Cattleya aurantiaca was reclassified to Guarianthe aurantiaca and Encyclia aromatica became Encyclia incumbens. Got it? So now we have "Guaricyclia"!
These flowers should be around 2" in size, in shades of orange and yellow, held in clusters of 3-6 on upright stems and will likely be Spring-Summer blooming when mature enough. The plants would like bright indirect light with temperatures from around 60/65 to 80/85 degrees night to day. Water and fertilize regularly year-round but allow the medium to dry a bit between waterings. As the plant matures, repot into a rather coarse medium; avoid stale, soggy, broken down media. We estimate 1-2 years to first bloom depending on your conditions.
