Brassanthe Maikai 2''
(Brassavola nodosa X Guarianthe bowringiana)
This is a remake of what is usually a starry pink flowered plant using a coerulea Gur. bowringiana. They will likely be light to medium pink as well, but it is possible that the coerulea form will have some influence too. Flowers will be 3.5-4" in size on upright to nodding stems with 4 or more per stem when mature. Maikai makes an amazing display plant relatively quickly. Give Maikai bright indirect light, temperatures between about 60 and 85 degrees and let the plants dry a bit between waterings. Add a liquid or water soluble fertilizer twice a month.
NOTE: the picture to the right shows the usual pink version of the flower. The flowers of this cross are likely to be different because the coerulea type of Gur. bowringiana was used!
LIMITED! NEAR FLOWERING SIZE, BUT NOT CURRENTLY IN BUD OR FLOWER!!!
pictures to the right show flowers from the normal pink Gur. bowringiana.
