Vanda Princess Mikasa 'Pink Charm'
(Royal Sapphire X coerulea)
This is an easy to grow, compact Vanda that can bloom at almost any season and, when well cared for, more that once a year. Flowers are long lasting, around 3-4" in size and, again, depending on your care, 6-12 per stem.
Vandas do best with bright indirect light and generally warm temperatures (65-85+ degrees night to day) although because Princess Mikasa has V. coerulea as a parent it may be able to grow well with somewhat cooler nights. Water and fertilize regularly in harmony with the seasons allowing the roots to dry a bit between applications and use a coarse medium when repotting.
