Phalaenopsis pulchra 2"
species - Philippines
The waxy, shiny, 1.5-2.5" fragrant flowers of Phal. pulchra are produced on short few flowered stems mainly in the Fall on short stem just longer then the leaves. It occasionally produces longer stem (up to 24") that terminate in keikis (babies) that can be removed if desired and started on their own when roots are long enough to sustain them.
The plants are shade loving and prefer warmer temperatures (65-85 degrees night to day). Good humidity is helpful and like most Phalaenopsis like some moisture at the roots rather than being kept wet constantly. Use a liquid or water soluble fertilizer twice a month.
