Often considered a synonym of Dendrobium parishii, this is another Spring bloomer the 2" fragrant flowers of which appear on the bare cane of the prior year's growth. Water and fertilize heavily as new growth appears, but eliminate fertilizer and cut back on watering as the leaves begin to yellow a fall late in the year with the onset of cooler drier weather in its native environment.
