Cycnodes Jumbo Puff 2"
Cycnodes Jumbo Puff
(Cyc. warszewiczii X Morm. badia)
Jumbo Puff bears very fragrant flowers about 3" in size and 12 or more per pendant stem when mature, usually in Fall-Winter. They like warm temperatures (65-85 degrees night to day), bright indirect light and abundant water and fertilizer during the growing season (now to ~ October).
At the onset of Fall reduce water and eliminate fertilizer. Don't be surprised if leaves have begun to yellow and fall, this is normal. Sometimes this will happen while the plant is still in bloom, but not always. When leaves are gone reduce water to enough to keep the pseudobulbs plump. When you see the first sprig of new growth, it's time to repot if it's necessary. As new roots appear resume the water and fertilizer with gusto!
