We have grown Den. hancockii with night temperatures in the high 40's and days in the mid 80's along with bright indirect light. Water and feed all during the Spring and Summer but toward Winter ease up a bit on water and eliminate fertilizer until new growth begins again. It is a late Winter to Spring bloomer for us with flowers that occur on both leaved and leafless canes.
This is a much different variety than those we have offered before. The plants have much thinner leaves and the flowers though more shapely, are smaller. The flowers, occurring 1-2 per stem, are about 1.25" across and are fragrant.
