Brassavola perrinii 2"
species - Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil
This is a fragrant relative of Brassavola nodosa ("Lady of the Night") it grows for us as an intermediate (60-85 degrees night to day). It is better grown mounted or in a hanging basket because of its normally pendant habit. It blooms in Spring-Summer with fragrant (nocturnally) up to 3" flowers. They may first flower while still small, but won't show their potential until fully mature. Grow in bright indirect light with regular watering and fertilizing year-round. Adapt the watering to the method used (i.e. mounted or in a basket). The flowering plant pictured to the right is mounted on a piece of cork.
