Bulbophyllum comosum 3"
species - India, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam
This is an odd one - even for a genus full of odd ones. Bulbophyllum comosum is a cool grower...that drops its leaves before blooming in Winter at which time it puts up a rather think 10" stem on the end of which is a dangling mini-foxtail-like or bottle brush like head of fragrant flowers that smell like cinnamon. Grow these with dappled light and temperatures of around 55 to 80 degrees night to day. Water and fertilize to keep the medium moist (not soggy) and run a bit drier during the leafless part of their growth cycle.
VERY LIMITED!! FLOWERING SIZE, BUT NOT CURRENTLY IN SPIKE, BUD OR FLOWER!!
