Phalaenopsis Freya's Firefox 'Wilson' 3" NFS meristem
Phalaenopsis Freya's Firefox
(Zheng Min Tyrannosaurus X Zheng Min Hazel)
Glossy, flat, longlasting, 2" flowers are heavily influenced by Phalaenopsis amboinensis which accounts for 39% of its genetics. Most of its parents are from the Polychilos section of the genus, so leaves are typically broad and shiny and rather thin in texture. Flower stems are relatively short, arching and will often keep blooming on mature plants while the stem remains green. Like other members of the section, Firefox would like subdued light and warm temperatures (65-85 degrees night to day). Aim to keep the roots moist at all time rather than soggy and add a liquid or water soluble fertilizer to the water twice a month.
