Dendrobium officinale 3''
species - China
A smallish, easy growing Dendrobium that seems to do well as an intermediate to cool temperature lover. It rambles if potted so a better choice is to attach the plant to a suitable piece of cork, tree fern or other medium.
Dendrobium officinale is listed at a Spring bloomer, but it seems to be able to bloom at other times as well. Grow with bright indirect light, cool to intermediate temperatures (50-80 degrees night to day) and water regularly as the seasons dictate (i.e. cooler, darker, shorter days = less frequently; warmer, brighter, longer days=more frequent) especially when it's mounted. Flowers can occur on both bare and leaved canes.
