Lc. Mini Purple coerulea 'Blue Hawaii' 4N X self 3"
Lc. Mini Purple 'Blue Hawaii' AM/AOS 4N X self
(L. pumila X C. walkeriana)
This hybrid has now been reclassified as Cattleya Mini Purple due to the reclassification of Laelia pumila to Cattleya pumila. We've listed it under the name most of us are familiar with.
When it was awarder in 1997, the flower was nearly 4" across! These are miniature plants as the name suggests and will be blooming on small plants, possibly in the 3'' pots they are offered in!
Mini Purple is an easy grower that likes intermediate to cool temperatures (55-60 nights and 80 degree days) with bright indirect light. Water and fertilize regularly, but take care not to let the medium become overwet constantly. A rather coarse, fast-draining mix is best. Ease up a bit on both during the colder, shorter days of Winter. These plants will also do nicely mounted on a small piece of cork bark or other suitable material. As noted elsewhere, do not use ocean driftwood unless it has been very thoroughly leached because sea salts are toxic to most orchids.
VERY LIMITED!! NOT CURRENTLY IN BUD OR BLOOM!!
