Phalaenopsis bellina
species - Borneo
These are sibling crosses of the lovely "wild" form of the species. P. bellina has been extensively line bred for size, shape as well as specific color forms. These are grown from seed rather than collected. The very fragrant 2" flowers are produced in Summer-Fall on short stems both above and sometimes below the foliage. They are warm growers (nights 65 degrees and up) that need shade and moisture at their roots at all times. Do avoid soggy roots, and still, dry/hot air. Water and fertilize year-round.
Tip: don't cut stems while they remain green - the plant can bloom again from a green, once flowered stem, especially when it is mature.
Handle with care.
