Bulbophyllum graveolens 4" FS
species - New Guinea
Not often offered, Bulbophyllum graveolens bears large paddle shaped upright leaves on rather quadrangular pseudobulbs. The 2" flowers usually occur in Spring and are borne on a rather short stem in a many flowered umbel (a rather tight circular configuration).
This plant likes semi-shade, warm temperatures (65-85 degrees night to day) with good humidity with regular watering and feeding. Be warned however, this plant would not make a good house warming gift when in flower - it is one of the "stinky" ones!
