Bulbophyllum maximum 'The Bean' FS 6" Basket
species - widespread in Africa
Although listed as a "hot" grower, this plant does well for us with temperatures of 65-85 degrees night-day. The "bean" is its flower stem and the flowers, >.25" come from the center of the 3/8" wide stem opening successively. It does well for us with bright indirect light and sufficient water to keep the NZ moss just moist. Add a liquid or water soluble fertilizer to the water twice a month (see ours in the "Supplies" section). The plants are stoloniferous (pseudobulbs are connected by long "runners" of stems) and in time can make a tangled ball.
LIMITED! NOT CURRENTLY IN FLOWER.
