Coelogyne xyrekes 3" NFS
species - Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra
This is a lovely plant the leaves of which are bronzy to pinkish when young. Flowers are nearly 3" and are produced in late Winter-Spring on a pendant 4-8" stem, flowering more or less successively with 2-5 flowers.
Coelogyne xyrekes is an intermediate to cool grower (55-60 degrees tp 75-80 night to day) and prefers dappled or diffused light. They do well for us in NZ sphagnum moss that should not be allowed to thoroughly dry out. Add a water soluble or liquid fertilizer to the water regularly (see ours in the "Supplies" section).
