Phalaenopsis Mini Mark
(Micro Nova X philippinensis)
We've had one of these hanging on the greenhouse wall in a rather out of the way place, yet, when it's in bloom it never fails to attract notice. The bright orange lip just draws attention. Remarkably, it consists of 3 dissimilar species, Phal. Micro Nova (maculata X lobbii) and philippinensis.
Treat this one as you would any other Phalaenopsis, that is with warm nights (~65 degrees), subdued light and aim to keep the roots moist, not soggy. Add fertilizer to the water regularly.
Mini Mark also grows well mounted on a suitable piece of cork, wood, tree fern or other material.
