Bulbophyllum thiurum FS 2"
species - Malaysia
RARE! Fascinating 4" flowers dangle in groups of about 4 at the end of a wiry 6" upright to nodding stem usually in the Winter or late Fall. Plants are compact and like dappled light, humidity and would rather be moist at the roots, but not soggy. We've been growing this one as an intermediate to warm lover (i.e. 60- 85 degrees night to day). These plants will also do well mounted on a suitable material (e.g. cork bark or tree fern), but you must remember to keep them moist.
Some theorize that this orchid is now extinct in the wild!
VERY LIMITED! BLOOMING SIZE, NOT IN FLOWER.
