Decorator Bromeliads
If you're looking for something that is long lasting, colorful and takes relatively little care, try one of our Decorator Bromeliads. They come in a variety of colors, but with the same "vase-like" shape. They are reasonable temperature tolerant (avoid freezing and unprotected frost), but will do well in bright to dappled light. It's best to keep fresh water in the center of the plant, watering occasionally at the root. The colorful floral bracts that hide the small flowers will hold their color for weeks after the flowers themselves have died.
