Monnierara Jumbo Delight 4" NFS
Monnierara Jumbo Delight
(Cnds. Wine Delight X Ctsm. Orchidglade)
Monnierara is a "man-made" genus named for Gene Monnier who registered the first hybrid comprised of Catasetum, Cycnoches and Mormodes.
Like most of the members of the above genera, Monnieraras prefer warm conditions (65-85 degrees night to day), semi-bright light and regular watering and fertilizing during the growing season (basically when the plant has new growth or leaves). Likewise, Monnieraras will also need a dry "rest" after blooming. All or most of the leaves will begin to yellow and fall toward the end of the year signaling the beginning of the rest during which little to no water and no fertilizer should be applied. Repot and resume regular watering and fertilizing when new growth is just beginning early in the year. Regular applications of a liquid or water soluble fertilizer are beneficial especially as new growths develop (see ours in the "Supplies" section).
Flowers are about 3+" across, fragrant and are held 6-12 on semi-pendant stems occurring mostly Fall-early Winter.
LIMITED! NOT CURRENTLY IN SPIKE OR FLOWER.
