Dendrobium faciferum 4" FS
species - Lesser Sunda Islands, the Moluccas, Sulawesi
Den. faciferum likes warm nights and days (65-85+) and bright indirect light. If temperatures go higher, remember than good air movement and humidity will help avoid sunburn on the leaves. Try to keep plants that like bright light from being caught dry at the roots on especially hot, sunny days. Water and fertilize regularly with a liquid or water soluble fertilizer (see ours in the "Supplies" section). This one does not require a dry "rest".
Adjust the watering to fit prevailing conditions whether in your house or greenhouse. In general you'll need to water less frequently in cooler, darker seasons, but remember that houses are much drier that, for example, greenhouses. It is wise to become acquainted with how fast your plants become dry.
Our plants are multi-growth, stand 12-15 " above the pot and are planted in NZ pine bark.
FLOWERING SIZE, BUT NOT CURRENTLY IN BUD OR FLOWER!.
