Dendrobium aphyllum FS mounted
species - widespread India and So. China, SE Asia and associated Islands to Australia
Rather fragile, violet scented, 2" flowers are borne mostly in Winter-Spring on pendant, primarily leafless stems. The leafless stems usually indicate plants that need a drier cooler Winter rest to bloom well and that is the case here. Reduce watering and eliminate fertilizer until new growth begins in Spring.
Den. aphyllum needs bright indirect light and warmish nights (60-65 degrees or so) with regular watering and fertilizing with a liquid or water soluble fertilizer (see ours in the "Supplies" section). Keep in mind that mounted plants (i.e. ones attached to cork or other media) will need water more frequently than plants in pots.
