Dendrochilum formosanum 4" FS
species - Philippines, Taiwan
Here's a pretty little intermediate to cool grower (night temps 55-60 degrees or so). It blooms, mainly in the Fall-Winter months with wiry arching stem of up to 30 small, fragrant flowers.
This species prefers dappled light and regular watering and fertilizing - enough to keep roots moist, but never soggy.
TIP: if you're going to make a mistake in watering, make it on the "too dry" side. The cure is, of course, water. Plants that are routinely watered too frequently often suffer from rotted roots and are difficult to restore.
This species is also known as Dendrochilum uncatum.
FLOWERING SIZE, BUTNOT CURRENTLY IN BLOOM!
