Dendrobium finisterre 4"
species - Papua & New Guinea
Here it is, the "End of the World" orchid! Well, no, it isn't really prophetic, it comes from the End of the World Mountains in New Guinea. Whew!
Its unique flowers are about 2.5" across and can occur in Winter-Summer and are very long-lasting. Though it is listed by some as a cool-cold grower, ours seem to do better with warmer nights. In any case these plants like semi-bright indirect light and do not require a Winter rest from water and fertilizer, which they should receive regularly.
