Dendrochilum convallariiforme 4" NFS
species - Philippines
commonly know as the "Lily of the Valley Orchid"
This compact species stands about 6" tall and prefers dappled light and warm night temperatures (60 degrees and up). Like many orchids, this one also likes that sort of semi-wet/semi-dry condition we refer to as evenly moist. What it means is, avoid extremes too wet or too dry. Blooming season is Summer-Fall and these plants can have multiple spikes that twist a bit hence the name. It has also been know as Dendrochilum bicallosum. Flower stems arise out of the new growths to about the height of the leaves and then cascade.
