Epidendrum Thomas Ott 2" (pseudepidendrum X melanoporphyreum) parents shown to the right
The plants have reddish foliage from the Epi. melanoporphyreum parent and are old enough to produce their first blooms. The flowers are long-lasting, waxy and about 2.5'3" lengthwise. When mature, the plants should be under 3' tall with arching stems of 12 or more flowers. Blooming season seems to be variable.
Temperature: intermediate (55-60 degree nights. Grow in bright diffused or filtered light and keep the medium moist rather than soggy.
