Dendrobium parishii rubra FS VERY LIMITED
Dendrobium parishii rubra FS
species - China, Assam, Bangladesh, Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam
Lovely, dark magenta 2" longlasting flowers are borne on these rather small plants from late Winter, peaking in early Summer. They are also very fragrant (berry)!
This is a re-release of plants that we established a year ago and while they are still small, they can be very floriferous. These plants are flowering size and are established on pieces of virgin cork oak bark> (In case you wondered, "virgin" cork bark is bark harvested before the tree is able to produce cork of sufficient quality for use in wine bottles.)
Den. parishii rubra would like bright indirect light and warm nights (60-65 degrees) during the growing season along with regular water and fertilizer using a liquid or water soluble fertilizer (see our in the "Supplies" section). As days become shorter and weather cools, reduce watering and cease fertilizing and provide a cooler location to help induce blooming. The leaves will fall - this is to be expected!
Resume regular watering and fertilizing when new growths appear.
VERY LIMITED! NOT CURRENTLY IN BUD OR FLOWER!
