Cycnodes Wine Delight J.E.M. FCC/AOS NFS 2" pot
Cycnodes Wine Delight J.E.M. FCC/AOS
(Cyc. lehmannii X Morm. sinuata)
This mostly Fall-Winter blooming hybrid is a member of the Catasetum family. Its culture is basically the same: plenty of water and fertilizer during the months that new growth has started and is not mature and then a dimishing of both late in the year. The plants like bright indirect light and warm temperatures (65-85 degrees night to day). NOTE: expect leaves to yellow and fall late in the year-this is normal and is the signal to let the plant rest a bit*. Repotting should be done as new growth emerges.
When mature, pseudobulbs may reach 10+" tall and can produce 2 or more somewhat pendant stems of up to 12 flowers each. We've listed these plants as NFS (near flowering size) because if grown properly, they should produce their first flowers late in 2021. Flowers are about 2.75" across and are very fragrant!
*After leaves yellow and fall, water only enough to keep the bulbs from shriveling; when new growth resumes, water and fertilize regularly. but avoid constantly soggy conditions.
LIMITED!! NOT FLOWERING SIZE, NOT CURRENTLY IN SPIKE, BUD OR FLOWER!!
NOTE: These plants are in the process of putting up new growth. This is the time to water and feed heavily. Some may possibly bloom the season, but it isn't guaranteed.
